Kam Patel
Kam, who heads the team for Asia, is the CEO of BA Finance which his father established in 1970. Having acquired a stockbroker license for the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1989, he launched the New India Fund in 1993 - a UK fund focused on investing in the Bombay Stock Exchange.
BA Finance's sister company, BA Financial Management is regulated by the FCA in the UK. Both entities' core strength lies in raising finance and equity for businesses, including in the real estate sector.
Kam continues to maintain close links with India, making regular trips to his family home in Gujarat.
Glen Walker
Glen is a Founder-Director of Allied and shares his time between his home in London and Istanbul. Over 40 years in the insurance industry, 15 of which have been focused on the renewable energy sector.
In 2008, he instigated the development of insurance and capital market-backed solutions that address many concerns of potential investors and assist the funding process.
Glen’s experience extends into multiple other sectors, including infrastructure, natural resources, and property and whilst mainly based in Asia, his focus is global.
Roger Willmott
Roger has been involved from the ground up in project development, technology innovation, funding, insurance and tendering for waste-to-energy contracts. Since 1996 he has advocated community-size waste-to-energy systems, reducing reliance on landfill, and emissions rates. His focus today is renewable energy and reaching Net Zero emissions.
Having been involved in project and technology development in the past, he understands the consequences of financial loss when a project or technology fails to attract investment. He is a strong advocate for the need to bridge the requirements and mindset of a project developer or technology innovator to that of the requirements of the financial markets.
Because of this, he co-founded Allied Project Service Ltd and works alongside Glen to bring finance and insurance-related solutions together.
Craig Mackieson
Craig is Managing Director of First Guardian Capital PTY Ltd, based in Melbourne, Australia; Craig acts on behalf of Allied as our clients' mandate for Asia.
Having closed over $150B worth of deals, including extensive infrastructure, power and utility, energy and property projects.

The Comprehensive - Fund, Pre and Post-Commissioning Performance Risk Platform
The most significant problem holding back investment into projects and innovative technologies within the renewable/energy sectors is access to obtaining securities for project capital where the technology has an insufficient track record of providing evidence to the project's cash flow that the plant performance will maintain the project's required debt service.
We discuss with selected underwriters the potential to provide protection against the installation of the technology to be deployed and debt protection caused by unexpected underperformance for ten years after commercialisation. This can be very important for investment into projects where the project developers have developed a project that will deploy technology new to the market.
Allieds' Clean Energy Risk Platform is designed for technology manufacturers with an operational demonstration unit with a reasonable period of operational data.
Supporting new ideas and accelerating clean energy start-ups toward net zero emmissions
According to the European Investment Bank, many manufacturers enter the "Valley of Death" after investing considerable money and time because they were focused on bringing their technology to the market. This often results in the delay of being commercial for between 12 to 24 months to satisfy the technology risk for investors.
That's why our unique Accelerator Programme focuses on the specific needs and challenges required at the commercialisation of the technology, from the very start of its development; by understanding the requirements for investors and working closely with underwriters, we work with the technology provider to monitor those requirements from the early design stages through to the operational demonstration plant operating and then placing them onto our Clean Energy Risk Platform.
